The Finca Alto Río Seco is located at the foot of the Sierras de Quilmes, and it has a soil with a lot of rocks and a high calcareous content. The orientation of the rows is 30º towards the northwest, prevents them from receiving all the afternoon sun and thus preserve the fresh notes in the wines. Variations to the inclination of the terrain favors the formation of micro-terroirs inside the farm.
100% Malbec. Limited production of 9284 bottles from block No4 in Finca Rio Seco, Cafayate, Salta, planted in 1945. 70% rocky and granite 30% sand
Manual harvest, cluster selection and further berries selection. The wort macerates for 4 days at 8 ° C and then ferments with yeasts native to the vineyard in stainless steel tanks. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels (40% new, 60% used) for 14 months where it goes through malolactic fermentation. Mild filtering and bottling. Storage in bottle for at least 10 months.

Between 17ºC and 18ºC.

Ideal to pair with reverse seared tomahawk and hard cheeses with pepper.
Deep ruby color with intense violet reflections.
Intense fruity and fresh aromas of red and black fruit such as raspberries, blackberries (red and black) and blueberries, notes of black pepper and smoke.
Its entrance on the palate is smooth; it has great body and structure, present tannins and balanced acidity.
In the middle of the mouth expresses an explosion of black fruit like blackberries and currants, with floral pot puri notes. Toasty finish and great persistence.
