The winery was founded in 1975, by Don Bernardo C. Weinert, who was fascinated by the world of wine and decided to start his own winery in Argentina with an unconditional philosophy: to produce high quality wines.
Before embarking on such a task, he made an extensive study of Mendoza: its climate, soil, vines; found in Lujan de Cuyo the ideal place for entrepreneurship, brought the latest technology in winemaking at that time and collaborated with acclaimed oenologists.
Chacra was created by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in 2004 with the intention of finding the most unobstructed expression of the climate, micro-climate, and terrior of Mainqué in the Río Negro region of Patagonia, in order to make wines that are transparent, pure, delicate, and floral with a strong minerality.
Here, Piero could make wines that could truly convey the taste of “a place on the planet.”Piero is the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of Sassicaia.
Viña Cobos makes wines that are authentic expressions of the terroir from which they come. Paul Hobbs, founding partner and winemaker at Viña Cobos, has worked since 1988 in the exploration of the different terroirs of Mendoza, looking for the most distinguished regions in Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, to produce wines that uniquely express their origins.
Paul Hobbs is the dreamer who successfully placed Argentina among the finest wines of the world with his pioneering Cobos Malbec 1999.
Finca Agostino is the story of a dream… the dream of going back to the roots, to the land of our childhood, to the vineyards where we used to walk holding hands with Sebastiano, our winegrower grandfather. He instilled in our souls the love and respect for the vine, the sun, the water, the land of Mendoza.
And also, the promise to return …to return to make this dream come true.
The winery was founded in 1897 by those visionaries who introduced the viticulture into the Cuyo region. Driven by the warmth and tenacity of the Pescarmona family, Lagarde has been positioned as a referent of high-end wines at national and international level.
Terroir, experience and innovation fuse together in a delicate balance that conceives unique elegant and stylish wines.
Two romantics, a winemaker (Alejandro Vigil), and a historian (Adrianna Catena) – go back in time to capture an era when European imigrants recently settled in Argentina, sought to make wines as fine, and finer than those of their homelands.
Alejandro holds the highest rating ever given to a pure Cabernet Franc wine by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate…
The Romero Marcuzzi family took its first steps in the wine world four decades ago in Tolombón, a few kilometers from Cafayate.
There, among the vineyards and long family summers, began the development of the pillars of the current project: a strong commitment to the site, the highest dedication to the work and a great love and respect for the terroir that has grown through the years.
