These wines combine elegant complexity with density and structure, and demonstrate the art of winemaking. These wines are crafted in order to be aged for 10-12 years.

Guarda Malbec Doc
This rare wine comes from a vineyard planted at 1906 and thus is prephylloxeric and own rooted. The old vines produce less grapes on their own so the wine ends up naturally concentrated with a kind of Bordeaux like character.
Varietal Composition:
100% Malbec. Red wine made from grapes cultivated in vineyard planted in 1906 in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
Vinification-Aging:
Farmentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts, during 20 – 25 days and at a maximum temperature of 30o. The end of maceration is determined by the tasting.The Malolactic fermentation is spontaneous. 100% of the wine ages 12 months in second use French oak barrels.
Suggested Serving Temperature:
Between 16ºC and 18ºC.
Suggested Food Pairings:
Ideal with grilled red meats or pasta with red sauces.
Color:
Deep ruby with burgundy highlights.
Aroma:
Intense aromas dominated by fresh red cherries and plums, combined with soft aromatic contribution of oak, vanilla, chocolate and smoke.
Flavor:
Elegant in the mouth, good concentration and smoothness, with silky tannins, typical of Argentine Malbec.
