Laborum de Parcela Petit Verdot
The vines of Finca Río Seco are very balanced. It’s soil is deep, very heterogeneous, with Block 10 being a sandy and stony parcel with presence of small rocks on the surface.
100% Petit Verdot. Limited production of 3080 bottles from block No10 in Finca Rio Seco, Cafayate, Salta, planted in 2000 at 1700 meters above sea level.
Vinification-Aging:
Manual harvest, cluster selection and further berries selection. Cold maceration for 4 days at 8 ° C and then fermentation with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in oak barrels (80% used and 20% new) for 16 months where also malolactic fermentation happens. Mild filtering and bottling.
Suggested Serving Temperature:
Between 17ºC and 18ºC.
Suggested Food Pairings:
Ideal to pair with lamp chops, pepper steak with chimichurri.
Color:
Very deep ruby color with intense vivid purple and black reflections.
Aroma:
Intense aromas of black mature plums, black cherries, cacao and cedar notes.
Flavor:
Its entrance on the palate is smooth, with rich but silky tannins, full bodied with balanced acidity. Explosive taste of chocolate with raisins and plums. Toasted finish with long persistence.
