El Enemigo Malbec
Alejandro Vigil has two tattoos on is right forearm: one that says Malbec and another that spells his son’s name, Juan Cruz, the two things that changed his life.
Varietal Composition:
89% Malbec + 6% Cabernet Franc + 5% Petit Verdot. Wine made from grapes cultivated in Gualtallary, 1470masl, Mendoza.
Suggested Food Pairings:
Grilled beef tenderloin. Barbecued ribs with grilled vegetables.
Vinification-Aging:
Wild yeast, Max. Temp. 29º C for 20 days, with 30 days of maceration. 12 months in old foudres.
Color:
Bright, lively red with purple hues.
Aroma:
Vibrant nose of fresh cherries and plums, violets and mineral notes.
Flavor:
Medium-bodied with fine tannins, good structure and long elegant finish.
Suggested Serving temperature:
16ºC
