Cavas de Weinert Blend 2004

Cavas de Weinert is the philosophy wine of Bodega y Cavas de Weinert.

Varietal Composition:
The vineyards who may give grapes to be used for Cavas de Weinert are situated in Lujan de Cuyo, more specific in the districts of Ugarteche, Lunlunta, Perdriel and Drummond.

Suggested Food Pairings:
Osso bucco with safran risotto and glazed shallots, pork fillet with fine herbs and grilled vegetables, steak au poivre with roasted potatoes.

Aging:
A minimum of 3 years in European oak casks of 2000 to 6000 lt, and a minimum of 1 year after blending back in concrete vat are base of a harmonious aging for Cavas de Weinert wines before they will be bottled.

Age of the vines used for Cavas de Weinert:
The vines that may give grapes to be used for Cavas de Weinert are defined to have a minimum age: Malbéc: 60 to 110 years Cabernet Sauvignon: 15 to 45 years Merlot: 15 to 25 years.

Color:
Dark red with purple accents and brown hues of the strains that arise within it.

Aroma:
Very aromatic and deep aroma, with persistent notes of red fruits.

Flavor:
With great personality and complex. Attacks the mouth with a pleasant sweetness that reveals itself through a balanced combination of tannins, acidity and alcohol. It has a long, smooth finish.

Suggested Serving Temperature:
Between 16ºC and 18ºC.
